WINNERS: SMART City Expo World Congress Awards 2018

Alongside our IoT.ATL partners, we are delighted to announce that we have won the 'Mobility Award' at this year's SMART City Expo World Congress Awards 2018.

The team, partners and whole USA delegation are delighted at the news at winning Atlanta's first GLOBAL SMART City Award here in Barcelona, Spain for their North Avenue, Smart Corridor.

The IoT.ATL partners, fronted by 360NS, are very proud to have played a part (regardless of how big/small) in this achievement and believe this is only the start for Atlanta being at the forefront of SMART City initiatives.

Atlanta now sits alongside Doha, Singapore, Cape Town, Gaoqing, Shanghai and The Hague, as cities awarded for their work in advancing the SMART City agenda.

The North Avenue SMART Corridor, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, is fast becoming the most connected in Georgia, serving as a living lab for multimodal traffic management through technology deployment and data analytics. 

SMART City technology solutions applied here, are improving roadway, public safety, mobility and the environment.

skignz provided its 'precise location AR technology' to highlight the difference between, what is SMART Technology, ahead of the existing 'not so smart' technologies you see on most roads you travel.

skignz provides consumer insights at Retail Loco, Atlanta 2018

Hosted by the Location based Marketing Association (LBMA), Retail Loco was attended by 250+ professionals at Atlantas Tech Village.

The event provided thought provoking content on how Location Based marketing and other technologies impact on a 'consumers day'. 

Industry experts from a range of top brands, provided the audience with insight into what is currently 'going on' in the location focussed sector, whilst also giving a glimpse of what is to come in the not too distant future.

AI alongside location based AR we mentioned by many of the speakers and alot was centred around one of 2018's buzzwords 'personalization'. 

With execs from HomeDepot, Verve, Coca Cola, Gimbal and also skignz.

Tom Daly, CMO/President skignz US, took part in the afternoon panel under the title 'Location, Loyalty & Engagement', which explored the relationship between consumers and brands. 

Also looking at how brands can utilize and harness new emerging technologies to win consumer loyalty and grow fan bases.

skignz comes 'Runner Up' in the Dynamite Awards 2018

With the Tech Industry booming in the North East England, what a great time to hold this year's prestigious Dynamite Awards.

skignz were delighted to be shortlisted for the coveted 'International Success Story 2018' we were certainly in good company.  

The evening was hosted by the flamboyant NE actor Daymon Britton who added a bit of theatre and comedy as he appeared on stage in his Speedos… yes, speedos.

Although we didn’t win, congratulations must go to all the winners in all the categories and a huge congratulations to Dynamo for holding such an amazing Awards evening and selecting an all-female panel….. girl power! 

Roll on next year and watch this space.Hopefully skignz will be victorious...

Last, but not least, a huge congratulations to Nomad Digital who won the category we were nominated for alongside SAGE.
